Help

What FUT Club AI is: a squad builder for EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team that starts from the players you own and adds the cheapest market cards for the rest, rated by our estimated meta for every role. It's for players who want a better squad without spending coins on cards they don't need, and it's free during the beta. It's an independent tool, not made or endorsed by EA SPORTS.

Getting started

  1. Add the FUT Club AI extension. Add it from the Chrome Web Store, in Google Chrome on a computer.
  2. Sync your club. Open My Club and press Sync club. The extension uses the account you're signed in to here, so there's no key or code to copy. Sign in to the EA FC Web App if it asks; your EA password stays on EA's site.
  3. Build your squad. Squad Builder starts from the players you own and adds the cheapest market cards for the rest.

FUT Club AI in the Chrome Web Store

The extension reads your club's players and managers (ratings, versions, tradeability and loans) and the market prices you see in the EA FC Web App. It never asks for your EA password. What the extension handles

If the connection stops working

  • Not connected (versions before 1.1.0 forget the connection when Chrome restarts): open Settings → Your club connection and press Reconnect, or press Sync club in My Club: it reconnects for you.
  • Extension not found: add it from the Chrome Web Store, then reload the FUT Club AI page.
  • Wrong platform: in Settings, choose “Wrong platform? Correct it”, then sync again from the EA FC Web App on the right account.
  • On a phone or another browser: club sync needs Google Chrome on a computer. Your synced club, squads and plans stay available everywhere.

How estimated meta works

Estimated meta is our rating, from 0 to 99.9, of how well a card plays in a role in FC 27. It isn't an EA number, and two cards with the same OVR can be far apart.

It's worked out at full chemistry. For each of FC 27's 49 roles we fitted a formula, using the card's best chemistry style, that reads its attributes, its PlayStyles and PlayStyles+, AcceleRATE, skill moves, weak foot, height and Role+ or Role++ for that role. Body type and weight aren't used.

How close it is: we fitted each formula to reference ratings from a public data source. On cards from 70 to 95 OVR that the fit never saw, it was off by 0.5 on average (0.3 to 1.0 depending on the role), so two ratings within about half a point are a tie. The player popup shows each role's own figure and the model's date. Below 70 OVR a second formula per role takes over and it's less precise: off by about 1.1 at 65–69, 1.5 at 60–64 and 2.8 at 50–59, and the popup shows that figure.

It's an estimate from card data: not an EA rating, not a score from another site, and not based on match results.

In a squad, each player is rated at the chemistry he or she has there, because chemistry styles boost less below 3 chemistry; the player popup also shows the rating at full chemistry.

Δ OVR compares the rating with what the average card of that OVR scores at that position (its best role there: a line fitted on cards rated 70 or more, and below 70 the average at that OVR). Zero means average for the OVR, a positive number means the card plays above cards of its rating, which is how Find players spots good value, and a card's secondary roles read below its best one.

Projected meta on the Evolutions page is the same estimate for the card an evolution path produces, scored from the projected attributes, PlayStyles and roles. It is a projection: evolved cards aren't in the reference data the model was fitted on, and cards that start below 70 OVR are the ones it has seen least.

To see it on real cards, Find players ranks every card by estimated meta in each role, with prices, and lists the best cards at each position. For a shopping shortlist, see the best players by position and budget.

Limits: it's an estimate from card data. It doesn't know your play style, gameplay updates since the model's date or how you set up your tactics, and differences of half a point or so aren't meaningful.

Glossary

AcceleRATE
How a player reaches top speed: Explosive (quick off the mark), Controlled, or Lengthy (slower start, faster later).
Budget
The most you want to spend on players you don't own, including the price reserve. Players you own cost nothing.
Budget ladder
For each position, the best card you can buy under each budget step from 1k to 1m, or up to your budget when you set one. With My club, only the cards that beat your best one.
Budget per player
The most you'd pay for one card. Cards you own always pass, because they cost you nothing.
Chemistry
0–3 points per player from shared club, league and nation with teammates, plus the manager. Up to 33 for the squad. Higher chemistry boosts attributes in FC.
Chemistry style
A boost you apply to a player in FC, such as Hunter or Shadow. Its size depends on the player's chemistry: full at 3 points, none at 0.
Estimated meta
Our 0–99.9 rating of how well a card plays in its role in FC 27. It's an estimate, not an EA number. Our per-role estimate, read from the card's attributes, PlayStyles and PlayStyles+, AcceleRATE, skill moves, weak foot, height and Role+ or Role++. On cards rated 70–95 it's within about half a point on average. Squad ratings use each player's chemistry.
Estimated price
Used when no recent market price was seen for a card. It's marked as an estimate wherever it's shown.
Evolution
An FC upgrade path for an eligible card: complete its objectives and the card's ratings and PlayStyles improve.
Evolution chain
Up to three evolutions applied in order to the same card. The order matters, because each one changes what the next accepts.
Gauntlet
An event of three rounds with a different starting XI each round: 33 players, none used twice.
Hidden gems
Cheap or owned cards that become strong after an evolution.
Manager chemistry
A manager adds chemistry to players who share their nation or league. Managers aren't part of the budget; choose yours in FC.
Not on the market
Cards nobody can buy right now: untradeable rewards, or no current price. A build can't use them unless you own them, so they're listed last.
Option ranking
By estimated meta, or by the weakest link when you choose it. Squads within the rating's margin of error of the highest-meta one (0.2 for an XI, 0.1 for a Gauntlet) are ties, listed cheapest first. No option is shown that another beats on meta, chemistry and cost. Best value marks the cheapest tie and says how much meta it gives up per 10k coins saved. Ratings count each player's chemistry.
Outside calibration
A card outside the OVR range our model was checked on. Its meta and Δ OVR are a rough guide, marked "rough", and sorting by Δ OVR lists these cards after the others.
OVR
The card's overall rating from EA, shown on the card in FC.
Player pool
Which cards a build may use: My club + market (your players, then the cheapest buys), Market only, or My club only.
Player source
All cards: every card, with the ones you own or can buy first. Market: only cards on sale now. My club: only cards you own.
PlayStyle
A special ability on a card, such as Finesse Shot or Intercept.
PlayStyle+
The stronger version of a PlayStyle. It counts more than a regular PlayStyle in estimated meta.
Preferences
Standard, Beginner or Competitor. A preset sets the Chemistry per player default and which notes the builder shows; it never changes a rating or the ranking. Notes cover preferred foot against side, two players in the same role, a weak foot under 3★ in attack and players away from their main position (Beginner), and players without Role+ in the role they're rated in (Competitor). No match data says what these are worth, so they stay notes.
Price reserve
An extra amount added to each card you'd buy, larger when its price is less certain, so the squad still fits your budget if prices move.
Projected meta
The estimated meta of the card an evolution path produces, from the same model as estimated meta. A projection, because evolved cards aren't in the model's reference data.
Role
The tactical role a player is set to in the formation, such as Box to Box or Inside Forward. Meta is rated per role, so the same card can rate differently in another role.
Role plan
Templates that ask one slot for a role or a trait: a holding midfielder or an aerial centre back. They are constraints, never extra points. After a build, each one shows what it costs in that formation: the best squad a quick search finds with it and without it, on the same criteria. Turning one on or off asks for a rebuild.
Role+ and Role++
A card's familiarity with a role. Role+ and Role++ give in-game boosts in that role, and they raise its estimated meta.
Tactic code
A code you can enter in FC to copy a formation's custom tactics. Export can apply it for you.
Untradeable
A card you own that can't be sold on the transfer market. Builds can use it; it has no coin value.
Δ OVR (meta vs OVR)
Estimated meta against the average card of the same OVR at this position (its best role there). Zero is average; positive means it plays above its rating.

Where the data comes from

  • Cards: the FC 27 catalogue (ratings, attributes, PlayStyles, roles and versions) comes from public game-data sources once a day, after EA's evening content drop. Evolutions are checked every hour; formation tactics weekly; chemistry style boosts follow the in-game table.
  • Market prices: PC and Console prices come from a public price feed, every 15 minutes, and the pages say when they were last checked. Prices the extension sees while you search the market in the EA FC Web App are kept with your account and used for you when they're newer. A card with neither has no price; an estimate is always marked as one. If our price source stops, the pages say so.
  • Estimated meta: our own estimate, described above.
  • Card art, badges and player photos: EA's images, copied once by our server and served from futclubai.com. Your browser doesn't contact any other site for them.
  • Your club: read by the extension from your own EA FC Web App session, when you press Sync club in Google Chrome on a computer.

Plans and builds

FUT Club AI is a free beta. Every account with a verified email gets every tool and 50 squad builds per calendar month, with no payment card. Pro (200 squad builds a month) opens after the beta; every account gets at least 14 days' notice by email first, and nothing is charged automatically. Your allowance is in Plan & billing.

A build is one successful squad search. A search that finds no squad doesn't use a build, and More squads on a result you already have doesn't either.
